I’m going to FLORIDA from July 23-August 4. I’m going from the 23-27 to Vero Beach to surprise my Granny (Dad’s mom):

Then from the 27-4 I’m going
to Boyton to see my Grandma (Mom’s mom I kep
t trying to make the picture large...):

My Granny is turning 86
My dad and I are going down together to surp
rise her while my mom watched Squishy.

*I don’t trust her, she keeps threatening me that she’s going to let friends who have a dog
Squishy is friends with take him which really pisses me off...it’s probably one of the only things that makes me really angry in this world, threatening my dog*

When my dad leaves on the 27th my Grandmother will get me at the airport and then we’re off to Boyton where I’ll spend time with her probably going to the gym, swimming, and laying in the sun without having to think about who’s looking at me because I’ll be in an “elders community” My Grandma recently lost a lot of weight so she’s able
to do a lot more and I’m going to hold her up to that.

I hope to lose some weight while I’m there because we’ll keep each other in check.

I get back just in time for my little sister’s birthday on the 5th, but I doubt she’ll even b
e home for it so
 moving on.

I was invited to GERMANY! By a friend of my sister’s and myself.

*My sister, myself, Daniel our Germany friend*

If I go he’s offered to take me to the island of  where my family is from:

I don’t know what we’ll be about to do while I’m there, but as
 of now
I’m invited from August 17-30. I’d love to have lost weight so I’m more able to go around doing pretty much anything, and I’d want to pack so I can walk around, go out and night, see sites, and see what walk where my ancestors once walked.

If I’m lucky, and he has the time, maybe we’ll go to FRANCE
I’ll have to see what the wine is like there and of course try the food since it’s supposed to be AMAZING! I’ll take the cliche photos of the Eiffel Tower and I’ll have to see it at night if it’s possible.

Who knows, maybe we’ll make a stop in ENGLAND! Stop off at LONDON can’t be too far since it’s near the end of the country:

For now I’m going to eat EXTRA HEALTHY, I might go VEGAN for until I go. I have to look into flights and see what I can do. If I can go to Florida and Europe this summer it’ll be probably the best summer ever. Last year I went to Israel with my sister, but going to Europe alone, or well, with a native friend would be amazing. I’ll get to experience everything as if I’m on my own, but with good company and a built in translator. I’m either going to have to pack light to bring back a ton of souvenirs or buy a new bag while there just to put everything in.

My knees hurt

Yesterday was the first day of 789 which runs from the 8th till the 12th in NYC. I got in around 1 and walked around Time Square doing a horrible job of filming, the tape is jumpy, I have a lot of butt shots, feet, heads cut off, and sun glare, but it’s the city, I was distracted.

I met Chris around 3:33, not planned for that exact time, but pretty cool. We walked around Time Square till around 5 when Billi was getting out of work. The gathering was set to meet at Columbus Circle by Central Park.

There were a few people there I knew of and most I didn’t. I horribly attempted to sometimes film, but again footage is extremely amateur.

After walking around for a while we went back to Time Square to eat at Dave & Busters where we played in the arcade until the money ran out.

After Dave & Busters some of the group disbursed and the rest went to walk around yet again...it’s NYC, that’s what you do, you walk around.

Karaoke always seems like a good idea around 1am so that’s where we went:

Waiting for the subway to karaoke

Karaoke was fun as always:

Afterwards we walked to a park and hung out for a while till I had to head back to the island, but not before seeing this restaurant that I had to take a picture of:

Well I didn’t get on a train till 5, takes me an hour to get home, but I watched the sun rise from my train car (which I had to myself). I considered taking a cab from the station home since by then I had walked around 17 hours straight (minus the time sitting while eating dinner) but I decided to take the road less traveled and walked home...I think another 3 miles or so. I was almost hit a few times, people honked, some slowed down, I was hit by sprinklers that just turned on, and when I was almost there my phone sent me a facebook message saying that I was missing and could anyone who’s seen me call my parents...

I forgot to mention I had drank 2 LARGE MONSTER drinks during the day and so pretty much all of today I spent sleeping, and when I tried to stand up I couldn’t move my legs which is why my knees hurt, you dirty dirty bird.

I went back on the 11th to meet all the “famous” YouTubers, and it was nice to see that they were so easy going. I’m not the type of person who actually gets excited about meeting “famous” people because, well they’re just people, and whatever I may know or think I know about them, I don’t really know them. I find it’s more plausible to be excited to see family and friends than someone “famous” because you don’t really know them and getting a signature never made sense to me either. Why do I want their name one an object or a piece of paper? Is this object or piece of paper going to help me in some way on my journey through life? No.

Still, it got me out of the house, and being a hermit that’s a good thing. I mingled, I even got lost and people I came with had to find me because I kept walking away. All in all, I would do it again, hopefully after I’m a little more well known and have actually done something on YouTube or in life I’m proud of...for now I’m proud that I’m honest, caring, and dependable, and I suppose at least to me that’s worth any signature. (wow, that sort of sounded conceded, sorry....uh here’s the gathering to distract you!)

789 The Gathering

Tomorrow is 789 the YouTube gathering...though the ‘main gathering’ isn’t until the 11th. (I supposed 7/11 would’ve confused some people, but would’ve been great business for all the franchised convenience stores to be filled with vlogging tubers.

I’ve never been to a gathering before. I have 142 subscribers, and I don’t think any of them are coming to see me. I’ve going for the adventure in my backyard. I’m a New Yorker. No, not the kind that actually knows the train schedule, what clubs or bars are the most popular, or really how to get around at all without assistance of some kind. I’m a Long Islander, that is I’m from the island.

I’ve traveled into the city for fun and for winter events. There’s nothing like seeing the Christmas Tree lit up, snow falling, feet hurting, sipping on a $10 cup of coco, watching yet another couple get engaged on the ice while onlookers clap.

It’s raining now, but come the afternoon that may be a different story.

I’ve packed everything in my Camelbak, it’s a backpack with a water pouch I’m sure I’ll fill with Monster or Red Bull.

I’m not sure what to expect aside from at least starting off in Central Park.

I’m going to hate carrying everything around, but I like to be prepared for everything.

For the first time in a long time I can’t decide what to wear, and I normally don’t put a lot of thought into what I wear. I mean I’m a jeans and T-shirt kinda gal, but I know how and when to dress up. I just prefer casual/comfortable.

It almost feels like I’m going on an interview. I’ll hardly know anyone there, there’s the potential for almost anything to happen, and I’m over preparing out of ‘nervous’ habit.

As of now I’m planning on going to the event on the 11th as well, so I’m treating tomorrow as my practice. I’ll get the feel for what’s really going on, what I’m used and what I’m not so I won’t have too much with me.

I don’t have to be in till 1pm to meet a fellow tuber, but it’s 2am and my ‘packing’ has really only consisted of making sure I labeled the tapes and charged the batteries...SO...ends my first blog.

-Cheers!
